WHAT HAPPENED?
Per in Germany, Bayern are in talks with Sane over a new deal and expected the winger to agree to a reduced salary compared to his current deal, with a reduction of around €6 million (£5m/$7m). However, he has now changed agents, enlisting the help of Pini Zahavi, and new demands have been made of the Bavarian giants.

Sane is said to have decided that he is not willing to take a salary reduction without a significant signing-on fee, and has been left dissatisfied with the overall package. His contract expires this summer and he is also aware of the fact that team-mates have received major signing-on fees. Sky reports that Alphonso Davies earned around €20m (£17m/$23m) as his signing-on fee when he committed his future to the club.
